IAGR BEST PAPER AWARD

The International Association for Gondwana Research (IAGR) has instituted a prestigious award for the best paper published in Gondwana Research every year.
An award committee comprised of Associate Editors of Gondwana Research judge the papers published during the previous year and nominate the winning paper.  The Awardee(s) of the winning paper are invited to attend the GR best paper award ceremony every year helpd jointly with the IAGR Annual Convention.  The award consists of a gold-plated medal and citation(s) from IAGR, an award certificate and one year free online subscription to GR from Elsevier.

SPECIAL AWARDS/RECOGNITION

The International Association for Gondwana Research (IAGR) has instituted a prestigious Special Achievement Award for Outstanding Cross-Disciplinary Contribution (2023).  This years recipient is Professor Darren Lingley (Kochi University).   The award citation is given below:


This award recognizes more than a decade of scholarly collaboration and executive level contribution on behalf of the International Association for Gondwana Research (IAGR) academic society. Darren has been an IAGR Executive Council member since 2010 and heads the IAGR Japan office. He plays an active role in helping to steer IAGR and served as Chair the 2019 Annual Convention and 16th International Conference held in Kochi, Japan. He is the inaugural winner of this award. The award carries this citation and a cash price of 200,000 Yen as a token of Prof. Darren Lingley’s outstanding contributions.
