About the Association
The International Association for Gondwana Research (IAGR) is an elite society of academicians, scientists, and researchers over the world who are interested in or engaged in the research and education on the history of Earth, its environment and resources, as well as planetary equivalents. IAGR is a non-profit organization (NPO) that promotes, co-ordinates and advances global research on supercontinents, with particular emphasis on Gondwana. IAGR aims at the integration and dissemination of knowledge on Earth history and geological processes for sustaining the human society. IAGR is a member of the Union of International Associations (UIA).
IAGR is governed by an elected Council (Executive Council) comprising President, Secretary General, Vice Presidents, Secretaries and Treasurer, and supported by Advisory Council and Steering Committee. IAGR organizes its Annual Convention every year together with International Conference on Gondwana to Asia in various countries attended by elite delegates, officials and editors from various parts of the world. The International Geoscience Journal “Gondwana Research” is the official publication of IAGR.

Program of IAGR 2024 Convention held in Kuching, Malaysia
The IAGR annual conventions and Gondwana to Asia international conference series provide an excellent platform for the dissemination of new research results and exchange of scientific knowledge on Geodynamics and Tectonics, Metallogeny, Life evolution and paleoenvironment, Geo energy and future sustainability, Sustainable resources & geoengineering, Natural Hazards and Geoheritage research. The annual conventions of IAGR have a high reputation as venues for advancing science and one of the best platforms for interaction with renowned geoscientists.
Gondwana Research
Gondwana Research (GR) is the Official Journal of the International Association for Gondwana Research (IAGR) that aims to promote high quality research publications on all topics related to solid Earth, particularly with reference to the origin and evolution of continents, continental assemblies and their environment and resources. GR is an “all earth science” journal with no restrictions on geological time, terrane or theme and covers a wide spectrum of topics in geosciences. The journal provides an appropriate forum to integrate studies from different disciplines and different terrains as well as in addressing important themes under Sustainable Development Goals in a geoscience perspective. In addition to regular articles and thematic issues, the journal invites high profile state-of-the-art reviews on thrust area topics for its column, ‘GR FOCUS’. Short articles (within ten printed pages) for rapid publication reporting important discoveries or innovative models of global interest will be considered under the category ‘GR LETTERS’.
